2015: Celebrities endorse Jimi Agbaje for Lagos guber race

Entertainment industry buffs recently kept showbiz issues aside to rally around the vision for a new Lagos under the aegis of 4New Lagos, a platform designed to agitate, re-orientate and mo­tivate all progressive Lagosians to vote for change, at an event held at Protea Hotel, G.R.A, Ikeja, Lagos.
The event, which witnessed an avalanche of celebrities from both Nollywood and the music industry unanimously endorsed Jimi Agbaje for the state’s governorship election which holds in 2015.
Commenting, actress, Alex Okoroji, revealed that the forum is open to everybody and is a non political group. Dressed in a T shirt inscribed with the phrase STAND UP 4 NEW LAGOS, Okoroji revealed reasons why the group chose to endorse Agbaje.
“We are endorsing Jimi Agbaji for the Lagos state governorship for 2015 elec­tions. He is a leader who could bring the change Lagosians need. The 4NEW LAGOS is open to everybody; this is a social pres­sure group. In order words this goes beyond politics and election; it is social activism.
“We are not card carrying members of any political party so we are non-partisan. But we have chosen to support the person we believe shares our ideology for renewal and reform. That`s why we are supporting the incredibly loved Jimi Agbaji because he represents a new face, a freshness.” Okoroji added.
Celebrities that graced the event included Yemi Blaq, Ego Ogbaro, Femi Branch, John Njamah, Femi Brainard, Wale Adebayo, Kalu Ikeagwu, Grace Amah, Segun Obe, Ruggedman, Bayray Mcnwizu, Mayowa Adewale, Ronke Odunsanya, Biodun Okeowo, Tokunbo Coker, Joseph Benjamin and Denrele Edun to mention few.
